A skip
In the summer-lit garden
Of a peeling-framed sale-agreed house
Awaiting the shock of new children
Stood piled high
With a lifetime’s leavings
A Zimmer
Frame shone at its summit
What decades had passed since the days
When its owner, the faithful departed
First learned how to toddle
And skip?
